As the Director of Packaging and Design at Legal Leaf LLC and as a freelance designer, I helped cannabis brands look amazing and stay compliant. My clients received eye-catching labels, on-brand custom packaging, and clean marketing materials.
Each product not only turned heads but also met every legal requirement with my degree and experience in product compliance.
Clients were taken through the process step by step, and I was there each step of the way. From sourcing the packaging material and substrate, to having them printed at the Legal Leaf print shop, and final inspection. I took care to source high quality glass and paper stock for hard good packaging needs, and worked one on one with USA based paper factories to source various label substrates.

PINE TREE APOTHECARY
Pine Tree Apothecary looked for fresh, clean, retail friendly design. Coming in with a finished logo, all they needed was a single strong color to make the brand pop. Yellow was chosen as an analogous color to the mostly green color scheme. It follows through the rest of their packaging, creating a cohesive, consistent, bright, and recognizable brand.
Knowing and deciding the right kind of materials is vital with cannabis as a relatively “new” customer consumable.
The edible gummies for Pine Tree Apothecary was created using EVOH barrier bags, to secure smell and make it food grade for a gelatin product.

GREENFELLLAS
“Cannagars” are premium products that receive more care or marketing than the average cannabis roll or joint due to their make and size. Greenfellas requested a way to stand out in retail and on the shelves; both during the point of sale and after in the consumers hands. While the product will speak for itself in the end, the packaging needed to feel high end and elevated.
